This Saturday, May 10th, Friends of Farr invites you to join Congressman Sam Farr (D-Carmel) for a medical community reception in Moss Landing.
Congressman Farr has been a staunch advocate of the medical community in the Capitol. He most recently authored a bill to permanently fix the underpayment by Medicare to doctors who practice in certain counties. Farr's Geographic Practice Cost Index (GPCI) Fix solved a decades old problem that mislabeled certain counties as "rural", and thus under-compensated doctors for Medicare procedures. Both Santa Cruz and Monterrey Counties were among those effected by the problem.
We at the Santa Cruz County Medical Society sincerely thank Congressman Farr for his hard work and dedication to the medical community, and encourage all those who are able to attend the reception. It will be held from 3:00 to 5:00pm at:
